Grigoleti

Quiet dark-sand beach village north of Ureki, next to the wetlands of Kolkheti National Park and Paliastomi Lake.

Grigoleti

Grigoleti is a small seaside village in Lanchkhuti municipality, on the stretch of Guria's coast just north of Ureki. It shares Ureki's dark, sandy beach and shallow water but has none of the crowds: there is no busy promenade, only a few cafés, holiday cottages and guesthouses spread out behind the beach. Many Georgian families rent a cottage here for a week or more in summer, and it stays far quieter than Ureki even in high season.

Grigoleti also makes a good base for nature. Kolkheti National Park and Paliastomi Lake lie just to the north towards Poti, with coastal wetlands, birdlife and boat trips on the lake. Ureki's restaurants, shops and nightlife are a short taxi ride south when you want them. Bring what you need, as shops in the village are small and most businesses open only in the summer season.
