Batumoba celebrates the port city with stages and craft stalls along Memed Abashidze Avenue and Europe Square, children's events, a sports programme and fireworks over the sea. The university holds a conference on the city's history in the same week.

Sources disagree on the date: some years it has run in early September, others in late April. Batumi City Hall announces each edition only a few weeks ahead.

  • If it falls in September, combine it with the end of beach season.
