Tables line Akhtala Park, known for its mud baths, and stalls cook regional food. Concerts run into the evening.
The date falls just after most of the Kakheti harvest is in, so many winemakers are relaxed and happy to talk. Gurjaani is about 2 hours from Tbilisi by the main road through Sagarejo.
- Arrange a driver; tastings and the drive back to Tbilisi do not mix.
- Arrive before noon to avoid the biggest crowds.
- Combine with Sighnaghi, about 30 minutes away.
